The drop off has limit of 300 and until it's cleared nothing new can be added. Like was already said, build near borders and minimise how long they have to travel outside their district, it makes them cranky and when they get hungry or thirsty their speed drops and they still won't eat until they get back.Īlso check what limits you have set up and if there is enough storage in the target districts. Also, transporting raw foods and multiplying it on site is much better than transporting cooked meals, if you have to keep another district alive. I only use distribution to get variety of foods everywhere from a food district, sustenance is on each district for itself. Just curious what others thoughts are on it and if there are any tips I may be missing. Should I be making multiple trade routes for the same item to increase throughput? should I add even more distribution posts? I have this issue with every product I want to distribute and I feel like I am always fighting it and waiting on goods to be delivered regardless of my capacity. I can see all my beavers running around so from what I can tell they're all working on those delivery routes. But, it seems like even with two fully labored distribution posts, ie 16 beavers, whose only responsibility is to ship grilled spadderdock, barely any seems to actually move out into the other districts and I end up with thousands of Spadderdock sitting in the spadderdock district. So I find myself frequently setting up a small Spadderdock district whose sole responsibility is to ship grilled spadderdock out to the main and other districts. Grilled Spadderdock is a good example - very easy to make a lot of this stuff, way more than one district could possibly need. One problem I am consistently running into is that I feel like I can't ship goods fast enough.
#DISTRIBUTION POST TIMBERBORN HOW TO#
If you are looking to be trading a lot of a good between 2 districts, it may be worth creating the same route multiple times to ensure you have enough of the good sat in the distribution post ready to go and reduce downtime waiting.Been really enjoying my time with TImberborn recently, but one thing I can't quite figure out is how to use the distribution posts effectively. If you create the same trade route twice, it will store 30 sets of that good twice (ie 60 in total).

If the drop off point fills up, the district will not longer be able to import anything until space is cleared.Īlso the distribution posts will store 30 goods per trade route. Make sure you have suitable storage for the goods as they come in. Another thing to look out for is the drop off points have a capacity of 300. When 2 hits 20 gears, it will stop accepting any more and the rest will sit in district 1. This way when your first district hits 50 gears, it will start exporting to 2. In district 2, set the maximum number of gears to 20 and it will only accept gears until it hits 20. So, for the scenario you want, set the minimum value for gears in your main district to 50. Unfortunately, the way the system works, you cannot set a 2 way trade to balance 2 districts to a minimum value very easily. The maximum number sets the limit at which the district will stop importing this good.

The minimum number sets the number at which the district will stop exporting any of this good. There are 2 numbers, a minimum and a maximum
